Cheongrasu Overview

The meaning of “Cheongnasu”
- “Cheongna” ” was inspired by Cheongna Hill, the symbol of Daegu’s Modern Alley Tour Course No. 2. It combines “Cheongna” (meaning “blue ivy”) with“su” (meaning “water”), signifying that the tap water produced and supplied to Daegu residents is as clear and clean as blue ivy.
- “Cheong” also conveys the fresh image of Daegu's tap water being clear and clean, while “Na”signifies Daegu's water supply system vigorously leaping forward to become the world's premier water management city, embodying the tenacious vitality of ivy spreading across walls and fences.
Logo
- The design depicts blue water droplets and blue ivy (Cheongna), which together embody the fresh, clear tap water of Daegu.
- The overlapping shape of three water droplets symbolizes the convergence of the Sincheon Stream and Geumhogang River flowing through downtown Daegu as they merge into the Nakdonggang River.
- The leaf within the water droplet symbolizes the freshness of Cheongna (blue ivy).
- The two band-like elements embody the resilient vitality of Daegu's tap water, like ivy vines, and the determination for Daegu to leap forward as a world-class water management city.
- Inclusion of the Daegu Metropolitan City logo highlights Daegu's symbolic identity.
