In accordance with Article 30 of the Water Supply and Waterworks Installation Act, the Tap Water Quality Evaluation Committee, composed of experts that include professors and social organization personnel, as well as housewives and other civilians, provides advice on tap water quality assessment, water quality management, and water facility operation.

- Selection of inspection targets and sampling points
- Matters concerning water quality inspection plans
The committee engages in regular tap water quality inspections, and publishes the results on the website and in district office newsletters and county office newsletters. Daegu’s tap water has not received an unsatisfactory rating since 1991. As the Tap Water Quality Evaluation Committee inspects and evaluates our city's tap water, residents can drink it with confidence.
